HKCBA holds its annual general meeting in Hong Kong for the first time, visits Shenzhen special economic zone in China. Regular annual general meetings have since been held in Hong Kong.

HKCBA National Web Site - www.hkcba.com - launched.

HKCBA participates in the Pacific Rim Forum organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, which brought together seven Pacific Rim Hong Kong Associations (Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hawaii, Southern and Northern California and Canada).

HKCBA leads in establishing the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide; Maxwell Brotman, the National Chair of the HKCBA, elected as first chairman of the Federation. First Annual "Hong Kong Forum" held in Hong Kong - November 2000 - HKCBA leads largest delegation.

HKCBA organizes its first Annual "HKCBA Canada Day in Hong Kong" - at the time of the Hong Kong Forum.

HKCBA leads the Federation's 2004 Hong Kong Forum registration with the largest delegation of over 100 HKCBA members.

HKCBA holds the first Annual "Canada-Hong Kong Business Forum" Monday May 30th 2005 in Ottawa - with the theme - "Your Smart Link to China: Hong Kong" - and is awarded the Federation's "Outstanding Initiative Award" for 2005. HKCBA again leads largest delegation with over 140 HKCBA members participating.

HKCBA holds second Annual "Canada-Hong Kong Business Forum" on May 29th and 30th 2006 in Winnipeg - again with the theme - "Your Smart Link to China: Hong Kong" - and again winning the Federation's "Outstanding Initiative Award" for 2006. HKCBA expands reach with cooperation on PRD events. HKCBA has over 170 members attend the 7th Annual Hong Kong Forum and SME World Expo. Retiring HKCBA National Chair Barry Macdonald is elected Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide.

HKCBA's third "Canada-Hong Kong Business Forum" was held in Toronto on Monday April 23rd 2007 - again expanding our scope to the PAN PRD - with the theme "A Winning China Strategy for Canada: Hong Kong and Fujian" - The Forum's, and HKCBA's focus, very much remains "Your Smart Link in China: Hong Kong".

HKCBA Delegation to the 9th Hong Kong Forum.    Over 450 delegates from around the world were gathered at the 9th Hong Kong Forum in Hong Kong on October 30 & 31, 2008. The HKCBA has once again earned "The Best Attendance Award" by having over 150 delegates from Canada!

HKCBA's 5th Annual Canada-Hong Kong Business Forum with theme of Hong Kong-Canada's Business Link with China: Managing Challenges and Realizing Opportunities in Today's Economic Climate was held on May 4, 2009 in Vancouver, BC at the newly expanded Vancouver Convention Centre.  Over 470 delegates from around the world joined this one-day forum. This forum has won the "Best Conference Award" by the BC Event Industry and also the "Best Initiative Award" by the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide.
